LoveVintage is proud to announce the 1st anniversary of the Wanstead Vintage Fashion & Brocante Fair on Saturday 4th June.
Would you like to own Sean Connery’s wife’s 1960’s orange chiffon beaded evening gown or a pair of 1960’s silver and gold Salvatore Ferragamo slingbacks as seen in the Fashion Museum, Bath?
The fair will include a fabulous line up of knowledgeable, experienced stall holders selling an array of ‘must-have-now’ – including Biba dresses and black leather trousers, Vintage Chanel, a 1960’s Jean Varon Pret-a-Porter pink empire line evening dress with chiffon floral applique, stunning 1920’s jewelled dresses, hard-to-find vintage haberdashery, homewares and lovely shabby chic furniture.
Love Vintage has arranged 2 fabulous events as part of the anniversary celebrations:
- Between 12pm and 2pmVintage guru Nicky Albrechtsen will be signing copies of Scarves – the book she co-wrote with costume designer and vintage queen Fola Solanke, a recent stallholder at the Wanstead Vintage Fashion & Brocante Fair. The perfect gift for vintage scarf collectors, designers, artists and pattern addicts!
- For dance enthusiasts, Jive and Lindy Hop teacher Jerome Anderson and his partner Lindsay will be stepping back in time to the fabulous 50s – the age of big band swing and rock & roll. Using authentic music from the period, they will be performing two short showcases (at 12.30 and 2.30 pm) of fast paced kicks, flicks and spin dance moves. Come and see them dance in the new ‘old fashioned’ way.
The fair will run from 9.30am to 4pm, admission is £2. For more information visit http://www.lovevintage.co.uk/
