The Wanstead Society has an ever-growing membership, with members in over 600 households, but we really need to turn membership into action!
Our Executive Committee is made up of just ten people, and is vastly over-worked. We try to do good work – we just need more people to help us do it. We deal with planning applications, political functions, the annual Shopkeeper of the Year award, the Art Trail, tree planting and flower bed maintenance… The list is endless, and with so few people we’re unable to take up as many causes as we’d like, which means we can’t provide the help we should to all our members.
That’s where you come in!
Whether you’re 18 or 80 – if you can pick up a pen, type or attend our monthly meetings, we need you! We’re calling for anyone who cares about our area, and who can spare just a few hours a month to come and help us, and join our Executive Committee.
