Thanks to local residents and community groups who took part in the March litter pick on George Green and the surrounding area.
Local residents were so fed up with the state of Wanstead, we decided to take matters into our own hands and clean the place up.
One Saturday morning in late march we collected over 40 bags of litter with the help of 20 volunteers. So successful was the event that we have decided to have these once every other month. The next event will be held on Saturday 6th May – please bring gloves and black sacks!
