Chepstow: What now?

Plans submitted for the site of the demolished house Chepstow and its once-grand garden got a poor review from Redbridge’s Conservation Advisory Panel. They did not think the design up to scratch – especially not for a site in a Conservation Area, which Leicester Road now is.

Where do we go from here? The Council’s decision whether to approve or reject the plan will presumably be made at a Regulatory meeting soon. Neighbouring residents wait breathlessly. Like CAP, they hope for something less crowded-looking, more in harmony with most of the surrounding architecture… and preferably minus blocks of flats (for which demand has reportedly vaned anyway).
